GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

UK Maths Trust Intermediate Mathematical Challenge

On Wednesday 28th January, around 120 of our talented Year 9 and 10 students took part in the UK Maths Trust Intermediate Mathematical Challenge — a national competition featuring 25 tricky multiple‑choice problems that really put their reasoning to the test.

Our students showed fantastic focus and determination, and we're delighted to share that they achieved an impressive mix of bronze, silver and gold certificates.

Special congratulations to our Gold award winners:

Callum W (Year 9), Molly E, Lenny F and Bethany E (Year 10).

All four have now been invited to take part in the follow-on round on 19th March, and we wish them the very best of luck as they continue to showcase their mathematical talent!

Well done to everyone who took part — a brilliant achievement all round!
