GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Trips and Visits

We offer a diverse and exciting range of trips and visits, designed to broaden horizons, build cultural capital, and develop key life skills such as teamwork, self-confidence, and resilience. Our trips include:

  • Theatre visits (e.g. Blood Brothers, Matilda, The Devil Wears Prada, Starlight Express)
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions
  • Field trips for Geography, History, and Art (including Brighton, the Tower of London, Whitechapel, and Galleries)
  • Sporting events (e.g. Twickenham Rugby, Six Nations)
  • Model United Nations conference
  • Music trips (e.g. London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican)
  • Reward trips (e.g. Chessington World of Adventures, The Light Redhill, and Guildford Spectrum)
  • Overseas trips (including Naples - Italy, Krakow - Poland, Ypres - Belgium, Iceland, and Berlin)
  • Community visits (e.g. Buxton Lodge Care Home)
  • Cultural education visits (e.g. St Paul’s Cathedral and West London Synagogue)
  • College taster days at Reigate and East Surrey Colleges
  • GLF inter-school competitions (e.g. Chess, Netball, Debating, and Spelling Bee)

We are committed to ensuring all students can participate, with financial assistance available for those who need it. Recent highlights include our Head Students representing de Stafford at the Kenley Aerodrome Remembrance Service, and our prefects visiting Buxton Lodge Care Home to meet residents and staff.
