Sports Hall Athletics Event

Students from de Stafford enjoyed an outstanding day at the Sports Hall Athletics event on Friday 13 February, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork and school spirit.

We were especially proud to take two of our Sports Leaders from Years 9 and 10, who represented the school superbly. Throughout the event, their conduct, enthusiasm and initiative stood out. Helen Ledwich, our School Games Mark Officer, was extremely impressed with their professionalism, support and proactive approach, describing them as a real credit to the school — and we couldn’t agree more. They consistently set a fantastic example for their peers.

Our Year 7 teams also delivered superb performances. Both groups finished in 4th place, although the final standings were incredibly close — with just a single point separating each position from 4th up to 1st. Remarkably, we were only four points away from taking the overall top spot. This marks our strongest set of results at de Stafford to date, and the students should be extremely proud of their achievements.

The commitment, determination and teamwork shown by all our young athletes were exceptional. We look forward to seeing them continue to shine at District Sports and at our own Sports Day later this year.
