De Stafford School PSA
de Stafford school PSA is a group of parents and teachers who meet regularly, usually once each half term to plan and discuss fund raising and social events.
De Stafford, like any school has to work within a budget. One of the aims of the PSA is to raise funds to hopefully make the budget go a bit further.
Over the last few years the PSA has raised thousands of pounds, spent on various projects for the benefit of the school; including new interactive white boards and projectors, lockers and other classroom and school equipment.
We always need new people to step forward and join us in helping to continue with our fund raising efforts.
As parents and carers of children at the school you are all automatically members of the PSA and we would welcome any new faces and ideas at the PSA meetings.
The meetings are informal and friendly and no one is asked to take on any responsibilities that they are not happy with. Please come along to see what we are up to! The dates of upcoming meetings and events are posted on the Website.
We are aware that not everyone is able to get involved at meeting or committee level but there are other ways that you can help.
We are always asking for volunteers to give up a couple of hours to help at the fund raining events, which may be helping serve refreshments at a parents evening or car boot sale or baking a cake for the Caterham Carnival.
And everyone can help by joining the PSA 200 Club. This is a fund raising scheme, which costs £12 a year to join. This money is then divided between a prize fund and the PSA fund. Your details are then entered into a prize draw and the lucky winners receive a cash prize. The size of the cash prize depends on the number of people in the draw. The draw is made at the quiz nights. You can download an application form from the website.
Remember, the PSA only exists to promote the wellbeing of our children and to make their time at de Stafford School a better experience. We all lead busy lives, time is precious but if you don’t make time for your children, who else will? Everyone has different skills and we can use every one of them! I believe that a thriving PSA is indicative of a thriving school. All too many other local schools have lost their PTA’s due to lack of support from parents. Don’t let our PSA go the same way.
Join and make a difference.
